La Marca

Alessandro and Beatrice Bonci are the fourth generation of a family of vine-dressers who want to reinstate some of the most authentic origins and soul of this craft.

The tradition started by Domenico Bonci, who owned a vineyard in the village of San Michele at the beginning of the XXth century, was then developed by his sons Mario and Fernando soon after the second world war.
The family tradition continued to develop until the end of last century with Pietro Bonci with a property of 30 hectares of land planted to vine in Cupramontana.

In 2006, with an idea to move towards organic farming by coming full circle and therefore going back to their family viticulture origins, Alessandro and Beatrice decided to create a new company focused only on the excellence of the grape. Personally working only 6 hectares of vineyards in San Michele their goal is to obtain the maximum quality from these grapes.

La Marca di San Michele is a member of FIVI (Federazione Italiana Vignaioli Indipendenti) and supports and cooperates with WWOOF Italia (WorldWide Opportunities on Organic Farms).
